Description:
The Morning Altars curriculum is a 7-step nature and creativity practice that uses a multi-sensory and hands-on approach to learning that is specifically designed for ages ranging from 4 to 18. Each workshop utilizes play-based and environmental learning as a way to introduce topics such as wonder and awe, relating and relationships, creativity and story-telling as well as the theme of impermanence and change.
for WHO: Therapists who work with Kids + Families
WHAT: We’re going to make nature altars together. We’ll first meet on Zoom and I will teach you the 7-steps of how-to. Then we’ll leave the screens and go out to our own backyards, parks, stoops (or if you can’t go outside, stay in) and collect leaves, berries, bark or flowers.
